The following is being written because it may save your company much money and aggravation if you are ever sued because of a problem allegedly caused by one of the retreads produced in your plant/s.

There is a document titled, Industry Recommended Practices For Tire Retreading & Repairing that you should have in your company library, along with proof of the date it was purchased and here is why.

If your company is ever involved in a lawsuit that concerns one of the retreads produced in your plant/s (whether or not you are truly at fault) and the case goes to a jury trial, you can be certain the attorney for the other side will be very probably be aware of the above mentioned document. 

Now let's create a scenario:

Assuming he or she is aware of the above mentioned document, the question will very likely be asked by the opposing attorney, "Do you have a copy of Industry Recommended Practices For Tire Retreading & Repairing in your plant?" If your answer is no, the attorney will turn to the jury and say, "Ladies and gentlemen, this company (YOUR COMPANY NAME) does not even care enough to abide by the most current copy of Industry Recommended Practices For Tire Retreading & Repairing, how can you expect them to do the right thing when they retread a tire?"

At this point, you are very probably going to lose and will have heck to pay!

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR THIS. INSTEAD ASK YOUR LAWYER AND/OR INSURANCE COMPANY WHETHER YOU SHOULD HAVE A COPY OF Industry Recommended Practices For Tire Retreading & Repairing WITH PROOF OF WHEN IT WAS PURCHASED. I'LL BET YOU A HAM SANDWICH THEY WILL AGREE THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE A COPY.

We are doing this for the betterment of ALL retreaders, whether or not they are supporters of the Retread Tire Association because it's the right thing to do. There is never a wrong time to do the right thing. It's that simple.
