RTA NEWS YOU CAN USE

HOW'S BUSINESS?
"IT'S STEADY BUT NOT REALLY GREAT THIS YEAR"
The above answer is something I hear too often this year when I speak to our members, which I try to do with at least three RTA members daily.
This concerns me because we want all of our members to do better and after thinking about the answers I am getting far too often; I decided to write the following.
THERE IS A WAY TO HELP INCREASE YOUR BUSINESS AND IT WON'T COST YOU MORE THAN A LUNCH, IF THAT MUCH!
VOLUNTEER TO BE A SPEAKER AT A MEETING HELD BY A SERVICE CLUB OR A TRUCKING ASSOCIATION IN YOUR AREA!
I can tell you from my experience that the one big problem service clubs and trucking associations have is "WHO WILL WE HAVE AS A SPEAKER NEXT MONTH?" They are always interested in obtaining interesting speakers.
Service clubs include LYONS, ROTARY, ELKS, KIWANIS, MASONS, Etc.
Every state has at least one state trucking association.
RTA can help you with the contact information for the service club or trucking association in your area.
By offering to make a presentation about the environmental and economic benefits of retreading, or the importance of a proper tire repair, or anything else that is tire related, you will have an opportunity to spread a VERY POSITIVE message about your company to a group of shakers and movers in your community.
I am aware that public speaking can be frightening, but it is really very easy and if you have a good message your audience will love hearing it. You will also have the opportunity to hand out material about your company and to offer tours of your retread plant.
If the above interests you give me a call and I'll be happy to explain more about how to make it happen. I promise that if you give it a try you will LOVE the idea and you may just make a few more customers!
Interested? Call Harvey for details! He's a ham and has made many presentations and he knows how effective they can be!

PS: you do NOT have to be an RTA member to call, but it can't hurt. Seriously, we will ALWAYS help anyone in the retread industry, regardless of whether they support the Retread Tire Association.
