More news that we are very sad to pass on to you,
but we were informed this week
by Eric Smalley of United Supply Group LLC,
of the passing of his father, William K. Smalley,
founder of United Supply Group,
a long time established casing supplier to the retread Industry.

United Supply Group, established in 2001, was founded by William K. Smalley, who had a very extensive history in the tire business. He did everything from designing retread equipment, to designing passenger tires, to being involved in all aspects of transportation as well. His business came about through his contacts in Japan in the rubber industry.

William Smalley's history of being in the tire business and meeting associates
was continuing for over twenty five years before USG even got started.

We at RTA send our deepest condolences to Eric and his family.
We will publish more information about Bill when the family is ready,
but here, following is a statement we received this week from Eric Smalley, Bill's son and principal of USG.

Unfortunately I have some very bad news...My Father has passed away.

William K Smalley, founder of United Supply Group, LLC died suddenly and
unexpectedly on April 15th. He was 67 yrs old with a wealth of knowledge
and experience in the Tire and rubber industry.
