We share this sad news from
RTA member Tom Gyuriak

of the passing of Leroy VanDusen
of GVW Tire in South Bend, IN (USA) retired

Tom shares some personal memories below
followed by Leroy's obituary.
We offer our deepest condolences to the VanDusen family.

A Note From Tom Gyuriak:
Attached is an obit of my good friend Leroy VanDusen, we worked together since the early nineties. Leroy was a mentor to a good many people in the business including my daughter-son-grandkids who all worked at GVW Tire.

His honesty and integrity gained him much respect from all his co-workers and customers alike.

Leroy was a great advocate of retreading, he always lead sales with retreads first even skid loaders and bobcats. He probably sold more cap and casing than any of my other CSR's.

He drove one ton diesel dully pickups pulling 16 foot tandem trailers, he wore out a lot of both. He would stack fifty plus tires going out every morning and bring back that many for retreading or replacement almost every day.

He will be missed.
