A VERY important message from RTA

Good News about Harvey!

Our great friend Harvey Brodsky
is back from his shoulder surgery and doing well!

As you know, Harvey has been through a few scrapes over the last year. Some back and hip issues that were a big pain in the "you know what".

But far and away, the thing that slowed him down recently was a shoulder injury that created quite a bit of pain.

I work with Harvey almost every day and I can tell you; even when he felt at his worst, his spirit stays up and he faces everyday with a smile and determination. I've said many times that it's hard to keep up with him, even when he's down.

Well now he's back up! Harvey had a shoulder replacement surgery on January 5 in San Francisco. The procedure is pretty amazing, and it is reported to restore full, pain-free mobility. Basically they replace the worn cartilage and bone that are wearing on each other, using a steel ball in a plastic socket. Recovery is not instantaneous, and he'll need some well deserved rest over the next few weeks.

The long and short of it is that Harvey is fine and will be back very soon. I admire this man very much. He has built RTA into a vital part of the tire and retreading industry. It's not easy building good will and maintaining great relationships for over 40 years, but Harvey has done just that.
