Purpose: Tech International is a global leader in the production of tire and tube repairs, and wheel service solutions. We are seeking a sales professional to join our North American business team. This person will be responsible for business development, growth, maintenance and profitability in our Key Account channel, and for achieving targeted sales and other objectives per the strategic business plan. 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Develop effective, results-driven annual Key Account sales plans, and achieve sales, profitability and service levels as detailed within those plans.

Generate sales to current customers, identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts, and identify new prospects.

Establish strong professional relationships with key decision makers and management at current and future customers, and achieve strong levels of customer satisfaction, growth and service.

Interact and coordinate with other functional departments at Tech, including training, marketing, logistics, customer service, product management, and R&D, that support customer satisfaction.

Provide input and sales forecasting for Key Accounts, set performance goals accordingly, and provide accurate sales forecasting.

Develop a strong and complete understanding of Tech products to allow suitable recommendations for customer needs.

Interpret sales metrics and create action plans based on the information analyzed.

Acquire proper tire repair training to provide needed service and support to customers.

Train customers in approved tire repair procedures per Tech Industrial and industry standards to supplement the activities of Tech International's Training Department.

Monitor competitive activity, gather market intelligence, and develop an understanding of strengths and weaknesses of competitive products.

Submit detailed reports on customer and market activity.

Attend industry trade shows, functions or meetings as required.

Work with and develop our team of field sales and service personnel to set objectives that support the growth, profitability and service initiatives of our customers.

Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budget requirements.

Skills / Requirements:

Must have demonstrated ability to develop and lead sales strategies and tactics.

Must understand sales metrics, know how to analyze sales reports and interpret the information into actionable strategies that impact sales.

Self-starter and adept problem-solver with a high level of attention to detail

Ability to articulate the value of services and programs

Must be mechanically and technically savvy, and comfortable in industrial settings

Must be comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization, from the shop floor to the CEO.

A demonstrated ability to lead by influence and example, and get results from others.

20% - 40% travel with . Travel by automobile (company provided, personal, or rental), and/or air.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Supervision                                                              

This role has no direct reports, but will lead team associates by example with influence and credibility.

Education and/or Experience                                                          

An associate or bachelor's degree in business, industrial distribution, or similar field, or equivalent education and experience and a demonstrated track record of sales, marketing or technical interface in the tire/automotive industries (commercial/retread/OTR/earthmover) or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Previous sales experience, preferably in the tire industry or related area.

Language Skills                                                       

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedures manuals.   Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills                                                              

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability                                                                   

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills                                                                       

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have competence with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Lotus Notes and Internet software.

Develop and execute annual marketing plan and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profit, sales growth and expansion of company products and/or services.

Research, analyze and monitor various market channel activity, market trends and competitive activity so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.

Develop unique value propositions and persuasive selling stories, and create category management programs which increase brand awareness and brand loyalty.

Manages channel- and brand-specific marketing programs.

Drives the company's branding initiatives and monitors and maintains compliance.

Monitor, measure, and report the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, and then efficiently optimize them.

Must be able to analyze sales reports and know how to use the information to grow sales.

Must have a successful track record of driving growth via market segmentation and brand differentiation.

Experience with new product launches and brand development.

Role requires technical acumen and a passion for marketing commercial/industrial products.

Proper Tire Repair is essential for safe, effective repair of passenger, light truck, truck and off-the-road tires. Tech International has been offering tire repair training courses for more than thirty years.

We currently are seeking a Technical Trainer / Sales Specialist to provide training and technical support for customers and employees. Our training department ensures that our customers know how to properly perform tire and wheel repair, and are trained in use of our industrial product lines. In addition, this role supports our sales team as the technical liaison for customer interface. Our training department is the proving ground for a role in sales, marketing or product management; you must have a sales-oriented mindset, as you will be promoting our product as you interact with our customers, and you must have the desire to advance your career within our company. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Train customers on the proper repair of tires, including new, retread, heavy equipment, agriculture, passenger and truck tires and wheels, and industrial rubber repair i.e. conveyor belts. 

Maintain the most current repair techniques and updated training materials, including classroom curriculum and presentations, videos, repair charts, on line training and other supporting materials, and assist in the creation of new training programs.

Manage the process of having materials translated into other languages.

Learn and be able to demonstrate proper use of equipment supplied by third party vendors.

Work with outside vendors to develop video scripts, repair manuals and other reference materials.

Must understand the concept of a value proposition and be able to articulate it to customers.

Assist the training team with R&D and Product Development functions to provide application, testing and reporting for field testing of new products or applications.

Support the Sales and Marketing Department for vendor and trade shows.

Maintain updated product information on company website and catalogues.

Provide technical support and follow-up on customer complaints and suggest corrective action to be taken i.e. failure analysis, operator error, etc.

Test and inspect items sourced from outside vendors; handle warranty claims. 

Skills and Qualifications:

Summary

Responsible for the appropriate documentation and classification of product for the Company.  The position also provides support and oversight to the Company's Exports, Customs brokers and provides Customs support to various internal departments by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

HTS Classification of the Company's imported and exported product.  This includes analyzing and researching various types of products in order to determine the proper classification, as well as interpreting any Customs regulations pertaining to those products.

Respond to internal requests for duty rates and classifications from Sourcing, Cost Accounting, and Finance.

Prepare requests to US Customs for binding classification rulings as needed to ensure proper classification.

Main contact for daily Customs broker support. Respond to questions/requests pertaining to proper entry of imported goods. This will include simple requests such as need for documents, but at times will encompass more challenging issues such as troubleshooting and determining the root cause of broker and/or vendor errors in either documentation or processes, and developing an action plan to correct.

Researching and analyzing documents to verify Free Trade Agreement qualification and preparation of government forms when required.

Determine, understand and Implement country of origin rules.

Researches trade regulations and rulings, determines regulatory or interpretive basis for each classification, and communicates with internal clients and external service providers.

Supports development of an automated system to manage documentation and data required for import/ export compliance and operations, maximizing use of web-based applications.

Administrator for Export Management Software.

Examines documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements, to verify conversion of merchandise weights or volumes into system used by other country.

Converts foreign currency figures into United States monetary equivalents, or domestic currency into foreign equivalents.

Calculates duties or tariffs to be paid on merchandise.

Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
