 Bio for Daniel B Zeledon of RTA member Tesco/Italmatic

Mr. Daniel Zeledón started in the Industry in the mid 1970's working with his father Claudio Zeledón at Akron Tire Supply (ATISCO) in Akron Ohio.

In 1981 Mr. Zeledon moved to Florida and partnered in a Tire Supply business in Miami which also exported to the Caribbean and Latin American countries. He also participated heavily with the Florida Tire Dealers and Retreaders association in teaching proper tire repair, certifying tire technicians and also traveled to Latin American mining and construction companies teaching the art of tire repair and salvaging the tires to minimize down time in remote places where tire service was not readily available.

In 1986 Daniel started a truck Tire and OTR Vulcanizing business, Vulcanizers Incorporated which serviced the Trucking, Construction and Agriculture industry in South Florida.

1989 was the start of Tesco of America, Inc. with Daniel and his father Claudio servicing all of the Caribbean and Latin America with Automotive Equipment and supplies, New, Used and Rebuilt Retreading Equipment and supplies.

2004 Tesco of America purchased part of Trent Rubber Manufacturing at auction which was manufacturing Tesco's trade marked "SuperCure" Envelopes and tubes to begin its own production. This sold in 2006 to a company in Angola.

In 2014 Tesco of America Inc. and Italmatic SRL established a joint venture to Service, promote and sell the full line of Italmatic's extensive product line of consumables from the Italmatic Buffing blades to Wheel weights and all of its quality line of retreading equipment for Passenger, Truck, OTR and Aviation.
