AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM HARVEY BRODSKY

Dear RTA Members, Friends and Industry Associates,

First I want to share a quote I heard about from Percy Cerutty. He was an Australian sports coach and here is what he told his players; "Believe in yourself, Trust yourself, and Never, Ever quit!"

Now for my UPDATE, in no particular order:
1. I am writing this in a rehabilitation facility where I am relearning how to walk again.

2. I am learning many other ways to help me regain my strengths over the many weeks I have spent in the hospital. It is a hard battle, but I am determined to win it every day. I remind myself of a few choice sayings that I now share with you -
a) Attitude is a choice.
b) A winner never quits and a quitter never wins (Amen!)
c) Never go to a pity party.
d) When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

3. Hats off tho my dear friend and successor Jeffrey Parks, who is doing a wonderful job as the new Managing Director of RTA

4. Although it will be a few more weeks until I return home, I do intend to return to writing News You Can Use articles soon. Please watch for them.

Also, feel free to send any messages to me, care of Jeffrey@retreadtire.org. He will forward your messages to me and I assure you they will be very welcome.

5. I was very sad to learn of the passing of my good, long-time friends, John Powath, Tubby Hall and Doug Conley, Sr. All good and dear friends.

6. Here is a hoorah to a few good friends and heroes.
- Jack Woodland who showed me the way towards winning the battle.

- George Bishop for his never ending caring.

- Patrick McGeoghegan for his kind and very caring words, and many more!

Unfortunately because of now having a chemo brain, my mind and memory is less than perfect. I am very forgetful about nearly everything so If I have left off your name, please do not take it personally. I still love you.

That's all for now folks. Stay tuned for more.

In the meantime, feel free to keep in touch. I love you all and I want you to know I am grateful for your friendship and support.

(If you'd like a phone number where you can reach me, email Jeffrey.)

- Harvey

Make new friends,
but keep the old.
New friends are like silver,
old friends are like gold.
