The Nam Bee Story

History

Nestled in the vicinity of one of the world's busiest east-west shipping routes is leading and pioneering rubber company Nam Bee Rubber & Tyre Group. Since its inception in 1938, the group is presently helmed by the founder's son, Tan Ann Khoon and grandson, Tan Chin Han. The group has grown modestly over the years and presently operates from a manufacturing facility of over 250,000 sq ft on 10 acres land in strategic Port Klang.

With operations in rubber mixing and compounding, tire retreading, new tire distribution, solid tire manufacturing and provision of tyre fleet services, the group is one of the largest "A-Z" organizations in the supply and service of commercial tyres in Malaysia.

Our Strength and Belief in Natural Rubber based Compounds

Motivated by profound benefits from utilizing natural rubber and the immense concerns regarding the environment, Nam Bee Rubber & Tyre Group aspires to be one of the largest natural rubber based compounders for tyre products and retread materials from Malaysia to the global market.

Rubber trees sequesters (absorbs) harmful carbon dioxide (CO2) to produce latex which makes it environmentally friendly, unlike crude oil based synthetic rubber. Research also confirms that carbon is absorbed at higher rates for tapped compared to untapped trees. A rubber tree is capable of absorbing 1 mt of CO2 during its 30-year economic life cycle thus a hectare with 300 rubber trees absorbs over 300 mt of CO2 from the environment. Furthermore, at the end of its latex producing life cycle, wood from the rubber trees are then used to make quality furniture. Replanting then occurs and hence the beginning of a new cycle.     

Nam Bee uses the world renowned SMR (Standard Malaysian Rubber) which is highly technically specific and is well known for quality and consistency.
