RTA NEWS YOU CAN USE
September 9, 2016
If you are wondering why we post articles such as the following from PublicHealthCorps, it's because we believe we have an obligation to bring the information shown below to the more than 4,000 emails on the RTA mailing list as a public service. If it saves just one life it is more than worth it.
We are fully aware that some of you readers on the RTA mailing list may disagree but if you do, we suggest that you simply delete this memo and stay tuned for future RTA memos dealing with retreading and other tire related subjects.
37,000. That's how many people die in road crashes in the United States every year. Whether it's dangerous weather conditions, faulty machinery, or — one of the biggest offenders — human error, dozens of American lives are lost each day because of motor vehicle-related accidents.
At PublicHealthCorps, we firmly believe that information is a powerful tool in public health and safety. We put together a collection of resources in the hopes of making a positive impact. I was looking over this page: https://www.retreadtire.org/tires-a-z_road-alligators_7.htm, and thought the list would be a good fit. Would you consider adding it to the other excellent resources you've offered there?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
"If someone is going down the wrong road,
he doesn't need motivation to speed him up.
What he needs is education to turn him around."
